John-Paul O'Neill edited best-selling fanzine Red Issue from 2002-2015. Since then he has chronicled the Glazer takeover of United and the formation of protest club FC United in 'Red Rebels' (2017), and has now documented United's success under Fergie in the 1990s, with Volume II to come in 2026. Simon Mullock was chief football writer at the Sunday Mirror until late 2025, and before that worked for the Daily Star in Manchester. He now earns a crust as a freelancer.
